We were actually on our way to the famous Fairview Cemetery in Sante Fe but missed a turn, and ended up at a small, rather neglected, burial ground just behind it. Later I found out it was burial ground of the IOOF: the Independent Order of Odd Fellows, a non-political and non-sectarian fraternal order. The cemetery was erected around 1895 (at the same time as neighboring Fairview) but seems to be no longer in use, although there is still an IOOF-hall on the site.
