When in a supermarket in Arizona and New Mexico one can find a rather wide range of saints (candles) for sale: Santa Martha, St Jude, San Lázaro, San Martin, Archangel Michael and of course a wide variety of Virgin Maries. But also Pope Jean Paul II, Santo niño de Atocha, and José de Jesús Fidencio Constantino (a famous curandero/folk healer in Mexico) can be bought for prices ranging from $99ct (SALE!)  to $1,99. Here at Albertsons they could be found next to the light bulbs and scented candles …
