Hollywood Forever Cemetery is everything I expected it to be: an over the top burial place for legendary movie stars and musicians. Eye-catching headstones and monuments, luscious green lawns (artificial or real), palm trees and parading peacocks. But it is also a cemetery for the not so famous with colourfull and diverse graves and quite a large Jewish and Armenian section.  It is very much in contrast with the numerous ‘Lawn Cemeteries’ you find in the same region, which are – as the name suggests – wide green lawns with simple flat tiles for grave markers: see Forest Lawn Cemetery.
