There was rain – a lot of rain – on 24 April 2015. Hundreds of thousands flocked to the Armenian genocide memorial, built in 1967 on the hill of Tsitsernakaberd in Yerevan. Every year on the 24th of April people carry flowers up the hill, to leave them at the memorial site. This centennial commemoration was not that much different from previous years; although there were more people, more flowers, more security, and definitely more rain…
