Children’s graves III

I discovered another interesting cemetery in the region, and as always I trace the ‘old’ children’s graves. Here I found a small plot with about 80 little graves dating from the 1940’s to the early 1970’s. Most graves carry signs of (recent) grave visits – for decades the bonds are kept alive. Interesting were also the graves that seem to commemorate more than one person; a deceased (grand)mothers photograph on the grave stone or the lid of an ash container of a father that died decades later.
You can also read the seasons (Christmas decoration, Valentine’s flower arrangements) from the graves. And as spring is in the air many people bring daffodils  – they brought some color to this somewhat gloomy day.

Photo’s are taken on 11 March 2015 at a cemetery in Venray.
